Before your first visit, perhaps you have a few questions?
Maybe important things like "Is this a formal gathering or an
informal one?" or "Where do I park?" or "If I bring my children
(or grandchildren), where do I take them?" or "What does the
infant/toddler, children's area look like?"
Our worship services are not formal, but keep some of the
traditions that help tie us to the early church. For instance, we
have corporate prayer and sing some of our worship songs
from the United Methodist Hymnal and follow (mostly) an order
of worship that you can read and understand.
During corporate prayer time, you will have the opportunity to
offer your personal prayer requests on a small card that is
available in the pew rack. These are collected and placed on
the alter for the remainder of worship. Afterward, they are
collected and sent to a prayer group that formulates the next
week's prayer list - which also goes to the Pastor.
During worship, you will need a bible. Yes! We read and
reference God's Word during the message time. Bring your
translation (version) of choice - something that you personally
read and study. You may also want to take notes about this or
that...so bring something to write with. This is your time of
corporate study, prayer, and discipleship - use it to your best
advantage!

First Timers @ TUMC
Theodore United Methodist Church - a Christ-centered community -
We are just regular folks! We celebrate life events of the
young and those who have been young for a long time.
We come together with our families and children because
we all need smiles and laughter!
We serve because we can! Why would we need any
reason better than that?
This is what you may see when you come to worship at
Theodore United Methodist Church.
Your "first-time" status will likely be short-lived, and you
will find that involvement is the vehicle for you to share
Jesus' love with yet another "first-timer." How cool is that?!
