About Us

Theodore United Methodist Church is striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible—a church with heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for others. It is our goal to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage our community, one life at a time.

We are strategically located right next to Theodore High School on Swedetown Road. Sunday morning worship is a blended service with a mix of traditional and contemporary music that seeks to encourage a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Children's Church is available for children too young to sit through the worship service with their parents.   Nursery care is available for the little ones.

Everyone has an opportunity to worship and learn during classes for all ages on Sunday morning.  We are blessed to be the home church for residents of the Mulherin Custodial Home. They join us for Sunday School in their own class, The Sonshine Class, then attend a part of morning worship with us.

We are also home to Cub Scout and Boy Scout troups and we value our scouts.  The beautiful cross and flame on the front of the church was constructed as an Eagle Scout project.  At the other end of the Spectrum, our Senior Shepherds meet monthly for lunch and informative programs.   All community senior citizens are welcome to join them.

We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities to meet with small groups for prayer and study, and service during the week.  If you like to sing, the Chancel Choir is always looking for new voices. Check the calendar for a small group that might interest you.

Theodore United Methodist Church extends a sincere welcome to every person seeking to live the Christian life. We invite you to worship, to grow in faith, and to serve God through fellowship with us.

OUR MISSION IS to reach, disciple, and serve.
We intend to reach people for Jesus Christ and
disciple them in the Christian faith, enabling them
to serve in our community and in the world.
